Scholarship Requirements

All applicants must meet the following set of requirements to be considered for a NAADHS-NAP scholarship. Please read the requirements carefully as your application may be rejected if materials are omitted.

Each Applicant Must:

• Applicants must submit official transcripts from high school or college/university, whichever is applicable. All applicants must be high school seniors, undergraduate or graduate college students.

• Submit proof of acceptance from a college or university.

• Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from a professor or employer that can attest to the applicants’ leadership qualities. Letters must be typed on organizational letterhead.

• Be a lawful resident or citizen of the United States. Legal residents must send proof of current status.

• Essay on the following items:

  • Scholastic ability, social character, and a pivotal moment such as overcoming and/or coping with adverse circumstances.
  • Essays must be typed on 8 ½ x 11 paper, double spaced, and contain 1,000 words or less.

  • All applications and supporting documents must be received before an application will be considered.

• All applications and supporting documents must be received by May 31, 2009.
Recipients will be notified by June 15, 2009 unless otherwise noted.
