Mentorship Qualifications

All NAADHS mentors must meet or exceed the following conditions:

  • Be an active NAADHS member.Adhere to the NAADHS mission.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and social skills.
  • Express a desire to fulfill the mentorship role.
  • Commit to a mentorship term of 1 year, per participant.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in a particular career field.
  • Maintain open lines of communication.
  • Remain available to each assigned participant.
  • Mentors are not permitted to select their own mentee’s.
  • All mentee’s must be assigned by the Mentorship Committee.
  • Adhere to all NAADHS Mentorship Program Guidelines.

Please note that all prospective mentors must complete the NAADHS Mentorship Application and Participant Agreement and submit them to the Mentorship Chairperson prior to obtaining a participant assignment. Mentors are not required to submit a new application for each assigned participant.
